In November 2022, just days before ChatGPT’s debut, our founder Guillaume launched the first AI support app on the Gorgias Store. The idea was simple: To use generative AI to handle e-commerce support with real accuracy.
Dozens of merchants reached out overnight to test the prototype. The feedback was incredible: merchants loved the product. Generative AI was going to change customer support. And so, Yuma was born.
A few months later, we joined Y Combinator, the world’s top startup accelerator, where we refined our vision and strategy. Backed by world-class investors, Yuma set out to transform e-commerce through intelligent, automated, supportive AI interactions.
