ShipMonk | Integration with Yuma AI
ShipMonk is a third-party logistics (3PL) provider that handles order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory management for e-commerce businesses. Brands send their inventory to ShipMonk's warehouses, and ShipMonk picks, packs, and ships orders to customers. The company operates 12 owned fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, and mainland Europe, and uses automated warehouse technology including mobile robots, pick-to-light systems, and intelligent inventory slotting to process orders. ShipMonk integrates with 75+ e-commerce platforms and marketplaces including Shopify, where it is a Certified Shopify Fulfillment Network (SFN) Partner. It serves over 1,000 brands across direct-to-consumer, subscription box, and wholesale channels.
Yuma & ShipMonk
ShipMonk is natively integrated with Yuma. When a customer asks about their order or shipment, Yuma automatically queries ShipMonk to pull live order and shipment status data, then uses that information in its response — fully automating WISMO inquiries with live tracking included.
Yuma can also take direct action on orders through ShipMonk. It can cancel orders and update order details on behalf of the customer, without requiring a human agent to log into ShipMonk and make the change manually. This means common post-purchase requests like cancellations and order modifications are handled end-to-end by Yuma.
Key Features of ShipMonk
Distributed Fulfillment Network
ShipMonk operates 12 fulfillment centers across the US, Canada, the UK, and mainland Europe. Brands can split inventory across locations, and ShipMonk automatically selects the optimal warehouse for each order based on the customer's shipping address. This reduces transit times and shipping costs.
Warehouse Automation
ShipMonk's fulfillment centers use automated mobile robots, pick-to-light technology, and intelligent auto-slotting that continuously monitors SKU velocity and repositions inventory to the most efficient warehouse locations. These systems reduce pick times and improve order accuracy.
Inventory and Order Management Software
ShipMonk provides a custom-built warehouse management system (WMS), inventory management system (IMS), and order management system (OMS). Orders, inventory levels, returns, and tracking information sync automatically across all connected sales channels from one central dashboard.
Subscription Box and Kitting Services
ShipMonk handles kit assembly and customization for subscription box businesses. The service covers recurring shipments with per-box assembly and per-item kitting fees. Custom packaging options include branded stickers, promotional inserts, gift messaging, and custom unboxing presentations.
Returns Processing
ShipMonk offers reverse logistics with prepaid return labels, automated processing, and reporting. Returned items are inspected, restocked or disposed of based on configurable rules, and inventory levels are updated in real time.
Why use ShipMonk?
Owned and Operated Warehouses
Unlike 3PLs that rely on partner warehouses, ShipMonk owns and operates all 12 of its fulfillment centers. This gives the company direct control over staffing, technology, and quality standards at every location.
Discounted Carrier Rates
ShipMonk negotiates volume-based shipping rates with major carriers and passes those discounts to its customers. For brands shipping at scale, this can meaningfully reduce per-order shipping costs compared to using carrier rates directly.
75+ Platform Integrations
ShipMonk connects to Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Walmart, and dozens of other e-commerce platforms and marketplaces. Orders from all channels sync into one system, so brands don't manage fulfillment separately per platform.
Dedicated Account Support
Each ShipMonk customer is assigned a dedicated Happiness Engineer — a named account representative who handles questions, troubleshooting, and account management rather than routing everything through a general support queue.
